How to make a Hoop House sticky icon

Getting started early demands a Hoop House.

We will show you here how to build one. Approximate cost was $50 without the special greenhouse plastic. We purchased special green house plastic that "breaths" yet still protects against frost damage.

Hoop House 6' X 6'

Cut your 2 X 4's to measure 2 @ 6 ft long each. And 2 @ 5' 8 1/2 inches.

Getting started.

We added more support on our corners this year by cutting them this way.....When put together, the frame will be 6' X 6'. If you have longer plastic then you can make your hoop house Bigger.

How to Grow Giant Tomatoes!

How To Grow Giant Tomatoes! by John Lyons Thank you to our fine friends from the Giant Vegetable Growers of Ontario (GVGO) There are many books written about growing giant tomatoes. I suggest you buy a couple and read up on the subject. Out of the many ideas you read about, you can make a plan for your own garden. Select a type of seed that produces giant tomatoes, Big Zack, Brandy Wine, Supersteak hybrid, etc. I am going to try a Heritage type called Purple Calabash this season, but there are many others to try.
